Good morning,

Reuters reported PPL Corp said on Thursday it expects its 2000 earnings to exceed analysts' expectations of $3.03 per share.

The Allentown, Pa.-based company said its receivables from the California Independent System Operator are about $17 million, but said it would likely earn more than $3.03 per share even if it is unable to collect the amount it is owed for energy sales to that state.
