I use quicken.com to track my REIT Contest portfolio. I've never bothered to delete my old portfolios, so I get to look at them now and again. I'm a bit dismayed to see the following YTD returns (I don't think the values include dividends, but I could be wrong):

2002 REIT contest: +26%
2003 REIT contest: +24%
2004 REIT contest: +21%

My actual (i.e, REAL) portfolio: +11%

Hmmmm.
