Copper has the following uses in India:

Printed circuit boards, as used for electronic circuits.
Electrical conductive wires.
Used in coins.
Used in jewellery (more in India) as a strenthening agent.
Some uses in utensils (again as a strenthening agent).
Some more uses in soft alloys etc.

I Don't have any idea of how much growth in this industry (will be definitely less than steel & cement). But we can speculate based on the amount of copper used while US was going thru this kind of growth phase if we have the data.

The commodity market is hot now and so the earnings may have peaked/not sustainable. If the price has factored in this hot earnings and if the street has higher expectations then the price would be sky high and we may have to wait for some realistic drop so that we get some margin of safety.
