Craig,

Why thank you sir.

Based on my visits and meetings with about 8 brokerage firms it looks like I will put my mother lode in a future IRA rollover brokerage a/c with Charles Schwab.
My wife will probably do the same.

If you visit Gomez.com. there are some very interesting ratings and reviews on most of the brokerage houses. I liked the way I have been treated "so far" by Schwab. Of course the more you have the more royal the treatment!

Schwab did very well in the reviews. No one was perfect though....I think Schwab was rated number #1. for on line tools and service etc.If you have not already done so, take a gander when you have time at the Gomez.com site.

I also have attended a few seminars from selected brokerage firms. Salomon Smith Barney really wanted my mother lode, but I did not like their fee structure and thereafter decided to do it on my own. Also, I went to a Schwab seminar earlier this week. Schwab staff at the seminar informed Schwab has or is on the verge of making some very nice enhancements for Bond review and purchase etc,.

I like your methodology of using one firm to leverage off the other in your corporate bond quest.

Please let me know what you think of the Gomez broker reviews vs. your own personal experiences.

Regards !!

RB:

I purchase bonds in my TDWaterhouse Rollover IRA Account. (For better or worse, this is where I keep the motherload!) Unfortunately they do not have the best price, not best online bond selection tools.

I use ETrade to find bonds and a price to take to my TDWaterhouse's bond desk to try my best to get a deal that doesn't lag too far behind ETrade.

Unfortunately, you need to have an account with either of these brokerages in order to access their bond database.

Craig
