This week we suffered through a market crash, a rebound, only to see another major slide. I guess most people had a pretty tough week and I think my portfolio took a hit as well. I actually didn’t check. After all, what’s the point of checking a portfolio after a crash? Everybody knows that a portfolio dropped during the crash and if you believe in the companies you own, then you have nothing to worry about.

Why would you invest in a company if you didn’t feel it could survive in a recession lasting several years. If you are investing for the long term, as most fools are, you have to assume that there is going to be a recession while you own a company. So, don’t let one little slide phase you (it was only 4%including computer glitches). If anything, just look at the crash as a buying opportunity. These buying opportunities are why some of us fools actually look forward to market crashes….So, when there is another market crash, don’t fret, and look for the buying opportunities.
