There's 3 or so top credit reporting companies that offered (in the breach days) a free year of coverage to credit monitoring including a (new to me) dark web search results.

I almost wonder if the companies who are searching the dark web, they in themselves, are open to the dark web to look at what they are searching for - therefore, confirming the existence of emails/passwords etc.

I'm just concerned just signing up for such a service would be worse than not giving your information to the top credit reporting companies.
