I was watching one of the Sunday news programs this morning. They said that are currently three crises right now. Hurricane Ida, Afghanistan, and COVID-19. Really? Just three? What about the wildfires? There are currently 91 in the U.S. alone. What about climate change (which is probably responsible for Ida and the wildfires, and possibly the pandemic)? What about the housing and food insecurity that has been revealed by pandemic? What about all the refugees? Afganistan is just the most recent situation causing people to leave an area that has become unstable. There are at least 20 countries that have people seeking refuge somewhere else. What about the opioid epidemic? Overdoses are at an all time high.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, of course. There are millions of people that have no access to clean water. Plastic pollution is reaching epic proportions. There are thousands of people facing eviction. Species extinction is accelerating at an incredible rate.

AC *yeah, just three crises...*
