Dan wrote about the conference call on AMSC:

1. Revenue up 34% this year to $15.1 mil. Order backlog increased to $21.4 mil.

2.12 SMES magnetic system orders were received for $10.2 mil.....The First D-SMES units are on schedule for delivery next month....currently AMSC manufactures 2 SMES units per month

3. AMSC doubled HTS wire production this year....Yurek said 10000km per year HTS wire production will "just be a drop in the bucket by the second half of this decade." The performance/cost had improved so that it was like creating the Pentium while the 486 was hitting the shelves.

4. AMSC has worked with Rockwell to produce first 1000HP full HTS motor. AMSC wants full commercialization of this. He [Yurek] went as far as to say this will be a DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY of the global industrial motor business. [Yurek] mentioned a motor OEM value chain is forming, and he expects significant advances in the next 12 months.

So what's not to like about this company?..seems to me it is comparable to ELON and BLDP in its future potential, but hasn't gotten the pubilicity yet. Guess it's time to pound the table again.

Thanks for your laboring oar...I don't have time to listen to all of the conference calls, but the highlights above sure make this an interesting investment.
