From a news release:

Darden Restaurants (NYSE: DRI) recently announced that it was separating a portion of its real estate assets to transfer into a new REIT.
CEO Gene Lee noted that the REIT plan was the result of a comprehensive review of alternatives to best take advantage of the company’s real estate portfolio.

If I have DRI stock, do I automatically get shares of the REIT?

Thanks.

Ken
