At first I thought a debit card would be good, in that I wouldn't be paying interest just because I wanted the convenience of shopping without cash. Now, having rethunk it, I see that a debit card is a liability. I plan to head straight for my bank and insist that they take it back and give me what I had before, or nothing at all. The patrons of Wells Fargo Bank didn't ASK for a debit card. The bank INSISTED that we accept them, by telling us our former cards would no longer operate the ATM!
