This might be a dumb question but:
Does anyone here know what, if any, federal or state(MI) deduction can be used for the hefty amount of lot rent paid out over a year in a manufactured housing community? I own my home but pay $300 a month in lot rent. I am sure there are property taxes taken out of what I pay by the company that owns the community. Shouldn't I be able to deduct something even though I don't own the property?
