Greetings, all, I formerly used TurboTax's ItsDeductible software for keeping records of charitable donations but ceased using it once it morphed from being a standalone program into one that was either attached to TucboTax itself or that was now web-based. Last year I found a promotion for use of a copy of the program Deduction Pro (I THINK is H & R Block) as a free download. I'd like to know if this freebie, or its equivalent, is again available for tax year 2006-2007. Can anybody advise? Thanks in advance. I still do my own taxes by hand with paper tax forms because I am too cheap to pay for tax preparation software (unless anybody can tell me whether there is any reliable software out there for free). So I haven't been able to count on taking advantage of any adjunct software that helps with a portion of tax preparation and would love to know if I have any no-cost options for 2006-2007, whether as a full tax-preparation package or just the piece that helps with charitable deductions.
