I saw an ad for Invisalign "braces" in December and ran, not walked, to my nearest orthodontist. For many like me, who have gone through the full metal-mouth treatment as kids then watched helplessly as our teeth began moving back where they were, this is a fantastic solution. My insurance company paid over half for the treatment; the orthodontists list it an orthodontic appliance, not specifically Invisalign, so it can be covered even if you are doing it primarily for cosmetic reasons. In my case, it has corrected substantial tooth misalignment plus a mild malocclusion (hope I have the terminology correct).

I think that many people whose teeth are not severely misaligned will actually wait through their teenage years to be able to get these instead as adults. Why go through a year or two of metal braces when you can just pop the new clear appliances in every 10 days or 2 weeks, visiting the orthodontist only a few times during treatment? Several people who have watched as my teeth "magically" moved into their proper position have gone in to be fitted for these. Word is spreading very quickly about this product.

Unless there is difficulty with patent issues for the software that creates these, or perhaps in production (they seem to being doing pretty well so far), this stock is going places. Yes, it may take a while, but this is definitely not a fad.
