Definition of racism
1 : a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and . . .

That is the definition, but the question is : Is it true?
In general I would say that race is not a fundamental trait, however it does genuinely corelate to many aspects of investigation. These correlations are often termed as racist and thus for political correctness they are taboo. African American women are more likely to suffer from breast cancer. Toss out the environmental factors and it is still holds true.

With regard to regional accent variation, it obviously exists in the USA and many time you can trace it back to its cultural roots. What I was questioning was why Ebonics is pervasive across the country (with regional variation) within the African American group. Is this environmental or cultural?

Down here refer to Aggies "Howdie rapists". Does A&M attract them or manufacture them.
