As Florida continues to suffer from Covid, AND from variants that sprang up after January 6th, 2021.....(or whatever Inauguration Day way - in your nation, there's differing opinions on that..)

I think it's remarkable that President Obama's Health Reform, is still alive, and helping so many all over the nation - including Florida. Of course, the Democrats friends at Big Pharma, and BIG HMO made record profits since then, but at least Americans had access to affordable care as a result of this law.

As of 2017, in the fine State of Florida....

1,437,968 Floridians were enrolled in ObamaCare.

1,331,110 Floridians, got government subsidies towards their health insurance.

Since then the ACA has only gotten more popular, and population has increased a those numbers I'm sure are a bit HIGHER now.

So when many of the people refuse vaccines, and enjoy their freedom and don't wear a mask.......subsidies from the government, are there to help them get health insurance, and be cared for.

I'm not sure if most of those Federal Tax Dollars come from Austin or Crawford. Alabama or New York. Kansas or California....but it seems to work out well.

If only we could reinstitute the Individual Mandate - you'd have more younger voters -- - in healthier states, contributing money into the insurance pool and that money would go to help states like Florida.

Finally, as Senator Barack Obama used to suggest, it would be great to tax employer provided health insurance plans no different than taxing paid vacation or a company car. And those funds can be used for health insurance for the less fortunate.

Anyhow, here's to the Affordable Care Act. Let us hope President Biden succeeds at permanently raising the subsidy amounts. If Biden can "restore competency in government" (as some in non-diverse-bubbles think one man can do all on his own), that means his legislation would pass.
