Thanks for mentioning that CD rates are rising. The best deals I've found online are as follows:

5-Year traditional CD 2.45% APY with Capital One; and

3.5-Year "Bump Rate CD" 2.30% APY with Everbank. The Bump Rate CD gives you one free increase in the interest rate over the term without triggering a penalty.

Capital One generally has some special rate offer or another, while EverBank has a history of offering interesting (and a little weird) FDIC-insured World Currency CDs, as well as Precious Metal acquisition accounts for Gold, Silver, Platinum, and Palladium.
