Okay I bit the bullet and made an appt for a design consultant(that's what it says on her card) to come to my house on Monday to give me decorating advise. She charges 100.00 for an hr.

I've come to this point after installing new windows throughout the house in December and since February, painting the interior of the house with warm colors. I need help in furnishings.....using what I have and buying additions, color of carpeting/floor covering in all rooms including the kitchen, light fixtures in all rooms and finally draperies in all rooms. I have a hard time deciding what would look the best and in arranging the furniture. I hope to get some new insights.

My question to the board is what questions should I pose to this designer and what should I be careful of in dealing with her? The place she works for has beautiful stuff and it's not cheap...I'm not that naive to think she will not try to get me to buy the priciest stuff.

Thanks for any advice offered.
