Did you have a new tenant come in? Maybe they had a relocation package from their company that paid for rent for the first X months?
If so, I *think* the company would be doing what they're supposed to by submitting a 1099. But you'd already have that income accounted for as rent received.

Argh! You're right. I had tenants whose house burned down and their insurance paid rent while it was rebuilt. And the amount matches.

This actually started in 2012, but I can see how it all ended up listed as 2013.
