I bought a new scanner on It was $55. An offer popped up for a WalMart credit card. The offer was for a rebate of $25 on a purchase of $75. Even though I didn't want the card, I applied and was accepted. I added a few things I need anyway to the order to bring it to $78.

I was approved for the WalMart credit card and paid online using it.

However, the $25 rebate did not show up. I was charged the full amount.

What should I do to get my rebate?

P.S. The interest rate on the WalMart credit card was an appalling 22%. I will pay the bill immediately in full and then cancel it. Not that I ever carry a balance on any credit card. I just don't want the clutter of keeping track of an extra credit card.
