What must be borne in mind is that the american companies rely on capital growth to ignite a share price hence their returns annually on the Dow and NASDAQ are far greater than here in Oz.

The majority of our companies are not capital growth (exclude the mining companies) but are based on dividend + to a lesser degree capital growth.

Therefore people will always look for income producing companies as quality backed investments, in times of downward market pressures!

Hence NAB:ASX is still not dropping .... bugger!
