I am 42, on permanent disability (neurological) getting LTD until year 2030 and SSDI each month, my husband works FT and most of what he makes goes to his ex for his kids. We now have a large sum to invest from my Mom's estate. We don't have any other real debt (just the mortgage) or other savings (no 401k or IRA) at this time. With the markets doing what they are doing, I am hesitant about putting the whole thing into the regular retirement investment world. Any advice on how to deal with this prudently will be appreciated
