So, what happened to the buy and hold theory? It would seem that you've fallen into the same trap we all fall sooner or later. We abandon our plans and jump ship when the going gets rough.
I can understand your frustration with both the market and the lack of response, but all prophets tend to turn doubtful when the market tanks. Both the FF and your portfolios could have been a very useful learning tool if held through these stormy times. After all this is the first real downturn since MF started, and ...it will not last. How foolish will we all feel then? (Survivor of 197- and 1987)
