Hey all,

Balancing my bank statement today, and discovered a debit card purchase at JC Penney for $199.96. Slight problem--neither my wife nor I made such a purchase. We keep all our debit card receipts, and there's no receipt for that amount at Penney's (pack rat syndrome finally pays off!). We're not the type to forget a $200 purchase--if it was $20, I could possibly see us forgetting to enter it in Quicken and then forgetting we made the buy. No way with an amount like that, though.

Anybody else have this happen to them? What pain and suffering did you go through to get it resolved? I'm going to call my bank in the morning when they're open. Called JC Penney's, and they need a bunch of info that wasn't on my statement (transaction #, etc).

Appreciate any help you can provide.
