Hi all,

I am in the process of writing my business plan and in need of information regarding distriubution costs. Since I know nothing about how to approach a potentional distributor let alone what percentages they would demand, I am looking for advice on how the whole process would work. For example, I have a product that has not actually been produced yet. We are in the prototype stage. Would it benefit me to approach a buyer with the prototype or would I need to have the actual product produced? If they were interested would they place and order and possible make an partial payment prior to receiving? Any distributors or buyers out there that could steer me in a proactive position?
