Do we expect that the bootup code will change (or change significantly) between iOS 9 and 11? Is there any evidence of that?

I would think the only significant changes, apart from security updates, would be changes to accommodate new generations of chips. Then there would be old code for backward compatibility. Mostly, though, I'd expect much of the code to remain unchanged simply out of inertia.
