Do you think it's a conspiracy among the suit manufacturers to get us to purchase new ones?

No question about it, they're all in cahoots. Not only do the old ones shrink, they've changed the numbers on their sizes! I know I have a 34" waist - but a few years ago they changed that to a 36, and now it's more like a 38! Likewise, I used to wear a 15 1/2 - 33 shirt, and damned if they haven't changed the labels on those to read 16 - 34! Oddly enough, shoe size is still the same.
