Does adding ethanol raise or lower the price of gas?

DB2

I asked Google your question.

Is ethanol cheaper than gasoline?

The cost of E85 relative to gasoline or E10 can vary due to location and fluctuations in energy markets. E85 is typically cheaper per gallon than gasoline but slightly more expensive per mile. Performance.

Since both oil and corn prices can fluctuate the answer is ... danged if I know.

Going a bit into the weeds here but both oil and Natural gas are finite. While current global oil reserves are predicted to run out in 53 years and a similar number is predicted for global natural gas reserves, the increasing demand for "Clean" Natural gas and LNG may become a problem earlier?

Anymouse

Reserves are like fish.
