Does anybody know more about these stocks or the sector? Apparently the last 3 all sell "high temperature" superconductor filters that help cellular/wireless systems operate better. (High temp = -270F, compared to the low temp ones at -350F, near absolute zero).

I just read one of the links on hjg0989's posts on the Wireless board:

This one...

And I was struck by these paragraphs:

Such a coup for the technology would bring about an explosion in unit volume. Where HTS filter manufacturers now count their installations in the hundreds, the projected Japanese 3G build out alone would bump the number into the tens of thousands.
[...]

Right now all three of these manufacturers are completing 2G, 2.5G, and 3G field trials and are deploying their products globally. In terms of product improvements, most manufacturers agree that their filters will continue to improve in reliability and performance while decreasing in size and price. Size, perhaps, is the least significant concern. For, as Calhoun puts it, gWith capacity gains of 30, 40, and 50% over conventional filtering, people are going to be focusing on technology issues, not on size.h

WRONG! If Japan is going to be the key near term market, then you better be acutely aware that size matters! Wireless base stations in Japan will likely be in very cramped quarters. Calhoun of ISCO had better change his thinking here soon or they'll see lost sales to SCON and CDTS.

I might buy positions in all three, but I'm keeping the weighting higher in SCON.
