RIMM has been a surprise to me but it sure seems the money has already been made:

You may have further upside but it sure would have been nice to be in this stock a year ago. It defies (for the time being) the "gapologists" theory that gaps almost always fill......two big gaps left behind on that chart. My humble guess is that this company better hit the screws with every earnings report or it will see major selling pressure.

For NetFlix, Denny brought that company to this boards attention a while back. Just do a search.

Now your turn.....tell us about a stock that the whole world doesn't already know about or already priced in heavily. That would be much more interesting?

HAUP is a possibility. MWD broker friend recently retired highly recommends. Little info available. Also,RMBS if you have the stomach for legal/politics delays in their vindication you may be richly rewarded.

LifeForce:

Thanks for posting your two suggestions (SEMI and API) both up around 100% in a few days and both microcaps with gaps left behind.

Takes a certain courage to take a position at this exact time in these recent rockets........perhaps more courage than a month ago.

Why so certain with such high gamble microcap prospects?

is there some sustainable competitve advantage?

I have found volume increases to be the best predictor of future price movements (as long as the price is going up). I like the funnymentals of the following three stocks, but believe volume puts them in this order: (1) SEMI, (2) API, (3) HAUP. HAUP is the safest. The main stocks you make memorable money on are smaller. Volatility can be a friend since the trend is your friend. I have approved of the above message :^) but please do your own due diligence.

If it doesn't add up to a BUY then it must be a SELL. What do you say?

Denny

I agree. HOLD=BUY with the low commissions these days unless you are investing very small amounts. I look at my portfolio every day to determine whether I would buy the stocks at todays price. Naturally there is some hysteresis, I am not selling or buying for a few pennies but the philosophy stands.

Also there is the tax angle which in my case does not apply, so I prefer to stay agnostic that way;)

Cheers
Cor

PS Saifun seems to be IPOing. Interesting flash technology firm. (fabless) Haven't dug up all the facts yet though.
