And the hits keep coming.

Federal prosecutors investigating development of Boeing 737 Max

A grand jury in Washington, D.C., issued a broad subpoena dated March 11 to at least one person involved in the 737 MAX’s development, seeking related documents, including correspondence, emails and other messages, one of these people said. The subpoena, with a prosecutor from the Justice Department’s criminal division listed as a contact, sought documents to be handed over later this month.

I can see the e-mail exchanges now

-"the F-117 is inherently unstable, but it also has a quadruple redundant flight control system"

-"and Lockheed's profits on the 117 were guaranteed. we need to make the 73 cheaper. we'll just blame the pilot if the zero redundancy flight control system makes an error or fails"

-"the pilot's manual should discuss how this system works, possible failure modes and how to compensate"

-"the big selling point is that pilots can be tossed into the plane with no extra training. disclosing the system and how it works would imply that extra training is required, so keep the system secret."
