I am three credits from a computer aided drafting certificate. What are the chances of finding employment befor getting a AS degree? I am forty years old and time is of the essence for me career wise. Currently I am a CNC machine operator with little chance of advancement at current employer. I am at the top of my classification. Next step up is leader, which appears unlikely, and I would prefer the career change.

I have to take classes one at a time due to time constraints. I work second shift, four ten hour days. All engineering class are at night but employer allows me to come in early to work, leave for class, and then come back to work. Comeing in, usually and hour, early over the work week allows me to make up the time I am gone for class. My employer also pays for the classes that could be considered work related which is generally the technical classes. Thank God for minor miracles!

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Eugene
