I just saw this article on; it shows that the 1.44 MB drive is slowly dying out. Kao is going to stop making 1.44 MB disks, an indication that high density drives are taking over. I see this as pretty good news; I used to use their floppies a lot before I got my Zip drive. The article even mentions the Zip, an indication it's becoming more of a standard now.
