The Alaskan Earthquake claim this morning by USGS is facing serious doubt by Earthquake Deniers ...“You can’t believe numbers provided by the so-called Richter scale. These numbers are provided by a government agency that’s not in the constitution. The Richter scale is unconstitutional and earthquakes don’t exist.”Last year the group, Earthquake Deniers held a symposium where it was proved that the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake was a Hoax:"If an earthquake of that size really did strike downtown San Francisco, then where is all the rubble?" read one pamphlet, entitled "AfterShocks: Truth, Lies, And The Business Of Earthquakes," "Where are these alleged 3,000 dead? And why does the mayor refuse to answer questions about the fires that mysteriously started moments after the supposed 'earthquake' occurred? Ask yourself: Who is he protecting?"Self-acknowledged 1906 Earthquake Denier and radical seismologist Dr. William Pletcher rebuffed angered historians by stating that the goal of the conference was neither to prove nor deny the earthquake of 1906. Rather, said Pletcher, it was held to "facilitate an appropriate atmosphere in which the hidden and unhidden angles of the most important geological issue of the 20th century could become more transparent."http://www.theonion.com/articles/san-francisco-historians-co...
The sad thing is that it would not surprise anyone if this were actually real instead of an Onion story.
it would not surprise anyone if this were actually realThe subject may not be "real" but the rhetoric is.
The sad thing is that it would not surprise anyone if this were actually real instead of an Onion story. Sarah Palin looked outside window and couldn't see any earthquake and was debating whether to tweet or issue a press release, but the MSM beat her and published her story.
0bama deficits, who do you believe?
0bama deficits, who do you believe? I believe Ronald Reagan and Dick Chaney, who said that deficits don't matter.
It's not about forcing views on anyone, it's just that we should teach both sides of the issue. Elementary and middle schools should present to students the evidence for earthquakes, and also present the evidence against earthquakes, and let them make their own informed decision. FFL
it's just that we should teach both sides of the issue. Elementary and middle schools should present to students the evidence for earthquakes, and also present the evidence against earthquakes, and let them make their own informed decision. It's just not teaching both sides of the earthquake evidence, but all this jabber about DNA needs to presented in light of the evidence against it too.
