Some eFile forms refer to a ECN number.

"Did you receive a mailing from the IRS inviting you to participate in a new IRS e-file program?"

Does one have to receive this invitation to participate? I already submitted my return through Intuit TurboTax, and am trying to complete the 8453-OL form that you sign and mail in. My problem is that I don't know my ECN number - and I don't think I was ever given one. Where did other people receive their ECN from? Thanks in advance for any help...
