I'm sorting and cleaning a room that is filled to the ceiling with crap and I've discovered grocery bags full of boxes of loose tea and tea bags in tightly sealed little envelopes, airtight.
Whadda you think? Is tea that is 6 or 8 years old 'bad' tea? Even if it's totally sealed off from light and air and ???

Throw it all away? Or break out the boiling water and celebrate?

............................................ thanks! ................................

some may be fine if they are totally sealed
but honestly you not being that fond of tea I's give it to a homeless shelter or some such entity where it would be put to good use quickly
happy cleaning!

I am fond of tea .. all of these boxes were bought by me. Quite a selection!.
The 'problem' is, I grew up in a whole family VERY 'in love' with COFFEE!!
My folks drank it all day long every day .. and my brother and I
have always drunk 6 or 8 or those GIANT cups a day of it. We've had restaurant owners
jokingly recoil when we walked in the door, saying "when you guys show up
we know "there go today's profits!" cuz you drink them all up in your 15
'free refills' each! So, tea gets lost.
I guess I love tea like I love reading. I DO, when I do, but 'other things'
(like the eye-coffee, movies!) get in the way!

That is a truly wonderful response of yours tho! To take it to some sort of
'need center' or other. Dayam man .. that truly is a great idea!
Now I wonder if I should 'warn' them by saying "a little past the pull date!"
or simply see if I could drop it off.
And, since Mary Jane is now completely legal in my state, and can be bought
right down the street here at the 'corner store' (literally), I'm wondering
if I should mix a bit of Mary into some of the loose tea to afford those
without a proper home at least a proper mindset for the day! (Or, I could
mix in ONLY the stuff that is almost exclusively CBD with strong healing
properties as opposed to THC with the mind-bending slant. Those who drank
my tea contribution would suddenly find themselves in fine health!)

Thanks for your thoughtful response

So right u be! It IS "a real trip"!!

It just seems soooo cRaZy! to be able to walk into a little store, nab a
menu, have a look and ask the lovely counter-person whatever you'd like to
know, then order this or that 'joint' or 'splif'. They come neatly rolled
inside of a lovely little glass tube with a cork!
I knew guys who literally went to PRISON back in the day MERELY for being
caught with a pouch full a grass on them. My friend and I were once cornered
by squad cars, taken into the back seat - one of us in each car - and
driven to the P. Station and questioned and 'searched', physically, ONLY
because we were standing talking one evening at a place on the local college
campus known as "Hippy Hill". There wasn't even anyone else there!
I had a huge cop sitting next to me in the back seat on the way to the station
and I had to deftly pull the joint from my back pocket and stuff it down
my butt crack .. then 'hold' it there throughout the questioning. (thank
god they didn't make us 'bend over'.
Now .. same town .. same me (basically) .. I can buy as much grass as I
like .. even some that is SOOOO LOADED with THC that it comes with strong
WARNNGS .. and those who don't heed them are said to often end up so
utterly wasted that they describe it as a MAJOR life event.
Yeah .. it's a trip. And I'm not really a 'smoker' either, but I've gone
in twice and looked through the menu and spoken with them, and I always
note to them that it is UTTERLY crazy to a former Hippy like me to NOT
feel absolutely paranoid about walking into their place!!
Anyway .. you two can come on out and spend a few days legally stoned if
you like! I'll provide you with a lovely private apartment throughout
your stay. And I'll only charge you a few tokes of your chosen product.
Take care - ;->

If you don't come out soon, however, I may by then live in Hawaii. You
can visit and I'll put you up there as well -- but as everyone knows,
Hawaii -- and especially the area that I will have settled on living ..
close to exotic hidden ocean beaches and with hiking trails to smoking
craters and fantastical waterfalls and hot ponds for snorkeling and near
tiny, remote little towns full of sweet little restaurants and such -- can be
a pretty terrible place to visit! So .. best think about it ..up to you..
