Gosh, did I kill all discussion on this board? I should clarify my "enviro-whacko" position? Afterall, this board is about energy and INVESTING. I own many stocks of companies that are clearly environmentally destructive. Is that hypocritical? We've had that discussion over and over on many boards over the years....personally I've decided that my tiny investment in such companies as the dozen or so gold miners I own, Sasol (SSL - oil from coal), and numerous other oil refiners and explorers is irrelevant to the future destruction that these companies might engage in.... Am I wrong? I dunno - I just want to make it clear that I separate my "enviro-whacko" principles from my investments. IF a smaller independent company begins to profit from oil rock (shale), I might invest in that company - that does not say that I approve of what they are doing, just that I am willing to profit from the destruction - gosh, that's sounds awfully hypocriical - comments?
