Even successful relationships have those periods where things just don't seem to run right. I know for me that I am not a holiday person, but my wife is Mrs. Freakin Celebrate Flag Day Even. So we have problems there. And then we have issues over money like every other couple. She doesn't seem to understand that maybe paying off all the credit cards is a good thing. And she doesn't understand why when I make a big purchase of something that should make me happy that I get a little buyers remorse. Or the fact that I truly cherish my "alone time". So we do have issues, and we do at times run hot and cold. We even have completely different arguing styles, and interpretation issues.

But at the end of the day, or the end of the week, and fifty years from now..... she is the one I want to be sitting next to, or arguing with, or what not. Life just isn't complete without her being a huge part of it. Through everything she is my very best friend. And the things that make life worth living seem to revolve around her (well her and our daughter). In December we will be celebrating our 9th anniversary, of a marriage that started off as love at first site with the world's absolute worst first date.

Not sure that this is what you asked for. But hope it helps in some way.
