Every day modern medical science makes progress toward keeping you breathing beyond your shelf life. You mention that you're "covered" for medical and long-term care. I'd be extremely conservative in forecasting the money those items will take. - Phil

There are things you can do to lessen that possibility, like not going to the doctor when your sick, or procrastinating going to the doctor till the problem gets bad enough to where doctors can't help you.

That's what my mom did. She hated doctors and just refused to go. She denied she was seriously ill, and ended up dying of stomach cancer at home at age 51.

Once your an adult no one can make you go to the doctor, or be treated for illness.
