Every two years I hear/read this same criticism. I look at it this way - NBC is an American company. They want ratings. They know we as Americans care about the US team. Most Americans probably don't give a hoot about someone from Norway winning a medal in ski jumping. They do care if it is an American.

As for the Snowboard Cross, they dramatic story was Lindsey's goof, and loss, not the other person's win. So of course that will be the story.

To be fair, I have seen some interviews with other countries athletes, so NBC does make an attempt to cover others, but still it is not in their interest to do so.

That's my theory.
