Hey all,

What looks to be (I haven't read it all yet) an excellent article on the wireless web is available online over at Scientific American.

The articles are good sources of information, but some of the specifics are questionable:
One of the articles say that GTE and Sprint are heading toward WCDMA. I thought that they were moving toward CDMA2000 (QCOM) as their 3G standards.

Another article indicates that Europe and Asia are moving toward WCDMA. Europe, maybe (the author is based in London), but to indicate that Asia is moving in any specific direction is quite stretch today.

Hi Brooks,

Good points. On WCDMA, perhaps they were thinking of DoCoMo...

Fool on,
