Factory jobs have been eliminated for the most part at company’s such as the tobacco and chemical companies and metal companies...I’m speaking about local companies that closed down which were all union jobs, meaning good pay and benefits to those getting out of high school. Reynolds Metals, Philip-Morris, American Tobacco all closed down their factories.

There’s plenty of jobs available if people want to work....clerical, cleaning services, grocery stores, restaurants in various capacities, state jobs, Post office and product fulfillment center workers, mechanics, welders, plumbers, roofers, trade jobs, and lawn service workers. Since the recession(several), I’ve seen so many lawn service trucks and trailers with lawn equipment on them...it seems there are a lot of people too darn lazy or unwilling to cut their own grass. Pool service workers, there are plenty of jobs for people who are able to work with their minds and bodies, but they must be willing to work and that starts with showing up on time and being dependable.
