Here are the FAQ's for the Running Fools board:

Q. Who is this board for?
A. Anybody and everybody that has an interest in RUNNING. We don't care if you're competitive level, recreational, fast or slow, short or long, newbii or veteran, run to lose weight or to manage stress. We like to talk about problems we've encountered and ways to improve both our endurance and speed or just a way to more enjoy the easy runs that we do.

Q. What subjects On Topic?
A. Everything running. Training, injuries, great running locations, upcoming races, where to buy good shoes and equipment, running partners (both two-legged and four-legged), chafing, and blisters.

Q. Any rules?
A. Not beyond the Foolish Rules for posting. HOWEVER, one of the things that most of us like most about this board and disdain from others is the lack of spamming and the supportive nurturing attitude here. We appreciated constructive criticism but bashing really isn't in the spirit of running. In general please enjoy the content of this board and contribute however you can. We appreciate any and all opinions. We are all looking for motivation and you just might be the one that provides it for us.

Q. Are there experienced runners and marathon veterans who post and read here?
A. Yes, all the time. Many of our frequent posters are marathon veterans and at the time of the posting of this FAQ one of our posters is a BQ (Boston Marathoner Qualifier). Some of our best posters have never run a marathon and have no current intent to do so but they have run 30 miles a week for the last 20 years.

Q. Is there a Running Fools team or gear?
A. Not yet. But as time goes on perhaps we can convince TMF to comp us with a TMF CoolMaxÔ running shirt. Currently we have board members who are “virtual training” partners for an upcoming marathon. Develop your own relationships on this board and anything is possible.
Q. Where can I find more information about running?
A. and are both good general information sites. is a great site to read reviews of marathons.
