Here are the FAQ's for this board:

Q. Who is this board for?
A. Everybody that has an interest in the military. Active Duty, Reserve, Retired, Dependents, or if you just want to know something.

Q. What subjects do you discuss?
A. We generally stick to financial issues as they pertain to the military. Things like retirement, investing, ways to save money. However, we also go into other items of interest - such as information about the next duty station. Also, if you are considering joining the military, or want some advice, we'll give you some straight information here.

Q. Any rules?
A. Not beyond the Foolish Rules for posting. HOWEVER, as military personnel, we have to maintain our professionalism. Like everything else, we need to maintain a higher standard for ourselves. We should not insult other people on this board and do not insult other branches of the military. Disagreements are fine, but we've been trained to respect each other, let's show it here. Remember, virtually everybody in the world can read this board. You want to maintain our professional image to all.

Q. Do people post here from deployed locations?
A. Yes, all the time. If this is you, remember that this is a very public forum. Be mindfull of operations and communications security. If you are deployed, be careful what you post - no sense in making intelligence gathering easier for other people - or worse yet, give enough information out to aid a terrorist in planning an attack.

Q. Are posts here confidential?
A. Not at all. Anybody and everybody can read them. So be careful not to post anything that could get you in trouble with the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) or with your supervisor. We'd hate to see somebody's career end because of what was posted here.

Q. How about posts from family members, any suggestions?
A. Yes, be careful when when discussing your loved one's deployment. Not only where s/he is deployed, unit, etc., but also edit your profile to remove things like where you live and name. This will reduce the likelihood that someone snooping around this board can target you.
