I'm not sure what anyone else is seeing, but I thought it worth noting that I efiled my son's taxes on Saturday, and his refund showed up in his checking account as of this morning. That sure seems like record time to me.

This was a good thing for him, too, because he was entitled to one of those educational credits and has not had any work hours for the past several weeks, so really needed a cash infusion.

This sure gives me motivation to get DD's taxes done so she can also get her refund. I think DH and I will owe taxes, so I'm not in quite as much of a hurry for ours.

Anyhow, thought I'd report to the board that they are definitely processing things quickly, although DS had easy taxes from a federal perspective. Now, he just needs to get his refund from MA and RI, which also needs to step into the new century and consider direct deposit for refunds instead of the check they will be mailing to him.
