Has anyone else experienced fluctuations in their FICO scores due to wacky reporting by student loan companies? dinged me today to let me know that my score had dropped 21 points. I was expecting a little hit because I opened a new CC to do a 0% BT, but I got a double-whammy because my undergrad consolidated loan changed its reporting to make my sub and sub loans look like two new lines of credit. These loans are at least 5 or 6 years old, but there they were today looking for all the world like brand new lines of credit.

I just wish they would be consistent!
