Call a Fido rep:

Brokerage, Mutual Fund, and IRA Accounts

800-544-6666

sunrayman
a Fido customer

p.s. It doesn't make sense to have a Tax Exempt fund in a Traditional or Roth IRA.

p.p.s. The current yields on the Fido MMkt funds are really REALLY low

Currently money market yields are almost non-existent at Fidelity (I'm a customer). If this is money you don't think you'll need to buy stocks/funds for 6+ months, you can buy CDs by searching their fixed income offerings.

CD's laddered might be the answer. Think I'll study that tomorrow. I converted all of my stock from the SEP-IRA to my Roth just about a month ago. (Wanted to do it prior to stock really taking off in the next 5 years, and also did not want to sell any of the stock for RMD.) Cash will be king in the IRA from now on. Roth and brokerage will be investment vehicles. Easier to withdraw cash for RMD than to sell stocks, especially since most of the stocks are fairly good dividend producers.
