Back on September 1st, I ordered a box of Hornady bullets for my .204 Rugar (See; http://www.sinclairintl.com/reloading-components/bullets/rif... ). On 9/2, I got a e-mail from Sinclair that they were on backordered and that they would be shipped ASAP. On December 10th, I got a e-mail from Brownells (Sinclair sold out to them a couple of years ago) that said “As you know, the firearms industry continues to struggle with inventory issues as a result of this never-before-seen worldwide demand. We’re proud to report that we’ve made incredible gains on much of our high-demand inventory; however, ammunition, reloading components and some other firearm accessories remain in frustratingly short supply.

You're receiving this email because your order(s) contains backordered products. . . .”

Yesterday, I received a e-mail from Sinclair that my order was shipped and, checking with UPS, I can expect it at my door on March 26th. Only seven months to receive my bullets. Maybe by this time next year I can get some powder and 17-rimfire ammo, yes.

C.J.V. – going to the range today to burn some .204 and old 22-rimfire ammo to celebrate, me

www.ammoseek.com shows a few vendors with .17 in stock. Like all rimfires nowadays it is pricey. The lowest price for .17HMR is $.25/round.

9mm has is readily available but prices have crept up in recent weeks.

Interestingly, .357Sig is less expensive than .45ACP.

Which .204 Rugar Rifle do you shoot?

I saw one of these at a local gun shop http://www.ruger.com/products/HawkeyePredator/models.html
I love the stocks on those.

Which .204 Rugar Rifle do you shoot?

I picked up the Savage Model: 25 Lightweight Varminter-T (See; http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/models/ ) from a local big box sporting goods store here in Loosiana a few years back after I had my shoulder operated on. I figured that I probably wouldn’t be able to shoot the big or even medium sized magnums no more and the .204 would make a light varmint rifle for coyotes when I was too lazy to haul out one of the 22-250 or .243s.

C.J.V. – gots a 300 H&H magnum & a .458 fur my heavy varmint rifles, me
