I reported the onset of winter last week when the temps dropped below 40 for the first time this season. But that was a headfake because it was followed by some blue-skied balmy days in the upper 50s to 60, the best walking weather you can imagine.

But last night the rains began in earnest and are forecast to continue for at least the next ten days. I took the rain for a test drive earlier today by going for my walk in it and found that I survived it quite nicely. Up to now it's been uncharacteristically dry for November. A few years back this month was one continuous sheet of water. Fortunately we were out of town for three weeks of that.

Oregon (2) vs. Stanford (13) tonight at Oregon. OR's got some defensive injuries so anything can happen. If it's raining down in Eugene like it is here, that could certainly introduce some random factors.
