I am new to this board (and fairly new to TMF) and saw a post a while back on firing clients:

I was wondering if anyone had done this recently and, if so, how you went about it.

I have read several books and articles on self-employment that advocate this method of upgrading one's work but have never seen anything on how to do it in a professional (and, if possible, kind) manner.

TIA for your thoughts.
