We made our first RMD's in 2006 and the cost basis included past year Deductible and Non-Deductible IRA contributions. I have entered 1099-R and cost basis info into TT.
For those of you with past experience on this topic using TT, my question is "will TT calculate the 8606 information and provide the copies when I print the return?". My guess is "yes", but I can not find the 8606 form on the TT file list to review entries. Perhaps this info will only show after I pay the TT fee and proceed to print the return.
I have an excellent 2006 MF post from Peter Theland on completing the 8606 should I need to manually complete the form.
